Steve White was born Jan. 15, 1944, in Ohio City, Colo., to Frank and Mary White. Steve graduated from Center High School in Center, Colo., in 1963 where he was active in sports and was a State Wrestling Champion.
Steve was a proud veteran of the US Army where is served mostly in Germany during his time in service. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Steve came back to Colorado and worked for various mining companies throughout the Southwestern United States eventually settling in Gallup, N.M., where he met his wife Janet and welcomed his son Scott.
After his mining career, Steve purchased Big Mike’s Equipment Rental in Gallup where he worked until his retirement.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife Janet, son Scott, grandson Scott Jr., parents Frank and Mary White, sister Julia and brothers Abe and Charlie.
Steve is survived by his brother Frank Dale White, sisters Marcella Van Cleve and Maria Stroh, granddaughter Sierra and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve lived a dedicated life full of hard work and many adventures. He will be missed by all who knew him.
