ALAMOSA - The San Luis Valley Rattlers Mountain Biking Team is hosting its annual “Ride with a Rattler Day” for middle school and high school students who are interested in trying mountain biking as an activity or sport. The event will take place across from the Limekiln trailhead which is just west of Monte Vista, on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Team riders and coaches will orient students to their bikes and lead rides based on a student’s skill level. Students will take a short ride and experience the thrill of climbing, single track riding and navigating small obstacles.

The Rattlers have a limited number of team bikes and helmets available for use.
