MySLVConnect.com relaunches to advance health equity in the region

COSTILLA COUNTY — Costilla County Public Health and the San Luis Valley Public Health Partnership recently announced the update and relaunch of MySLVConnect.com. MySLVConnect.com is an online resource guide dedicated to improving health equity in the San Luis Valley region of Colorado.

The website provides fast and accurate information on health and human services.

By providing wider access to healthcare and community resource information, people are empowered to manage their own health and well-being, fostering a healthier and more equitable community.

The site has a user-friendly interface which is searchable by topic, county, or multiple counties. It is easy to use and understand. Many resources are listed in Spanish. The website was created to be easy to read and easy to use, even for those with limited internet skills. Information can be printed out or emailed to a friend at any convenient time.

The website is also a hub for a comprehensive list of resources as information has been updated and 128 services are listed with more community services and non-profits added every week. Resources listed include contacts, service locations and hours, helpful links, referral requirements and eligibility information.

Paul Wertz, Costilla County Public Health Director, expressed enthusiasm for the relaunch.

“Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our region has equal access to quality healthcare and community services,” Wertz said. “We invite the community to help us promote MySLVConnect.com as a regional resource and join us in advancing health equity in the San Luis Valley.”
