ANTONITO — Several arrests were made after the Lowe's Market in Antonito was broken into on Monday, Oct. 30, Conejos County Sheriff Garth Crowther reported.
At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 30, the grocery store in Antonito was broken into. Evidence led the investigation to the old Antonito High School building.
A search warrant was executed by multi-jurisdictional agencies. With the aid of Alamosa and Chafee SWAT teams multiple arrests were made.
A possible suspect was identified in the Lowe’s burglary and multiple people with active warrants were also arrested.
The Conejos County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Alamosa SWAT team, Chaffee County SWAT team, Monte Vista Police Department, Costilla County Sheriff’s Office, Sanford Police Department and La Jara Police Department for their assistance.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available at press time.
