ALAMOSA — Come out to Cole Park in Alamosa for a fantastic Battle of the Bands presented by the Alamosa Live Music Association (ALMA) on Saturday, June 7, 4 to 7 p.m. at SummerFest on the Rio in Alamosa.

Five artists will compete (in this order): The Audience, whadubber, A Butter Way, G-Stylez, and CresTown. These local performers offer a wide variety of sounds including experimental/indie rock, electro-funk, punk rock/jam band, hip-hop/R&B, and R&B/jam rock. Your vote, along with five expert judges, will help decide the winner, who will perform at a Sundays at Six concert in Cole Park on August 24th. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Audience is as an experimental and all-original rock music group from Crestone, featuring Benny Roman, Carl Swett, Holly Ray, and Robin Chestnut. Their songs describe the circumstances and magic of life in a brutally honest fashion.

Whadubber blends electronic production and performance with live instrumentation to create an energetic digital analog sound.

A Butter Way is a punk rock/party band comprised of Mike on the drums, Garrett on guitar and vocals and Nichole on bass and lead vocals. They cover artists like Selena, Prince, Dean Martin and even have a few originals up their sleeves. They are spunky, punky and ready to make you move your feet.

G-Stylez is a Hip-Hop/R&B artist from Colorado and founder of 8000 Feet Productions and co-founder of the Hip-Hop group 8Grand and Rock/Rap band Stylez and the Blueprint. He hosts the podcast WORD! and the web series Style Flip on YouTube. He also manages KRZA Community Radio.

CresTown is a no holds barred eclectic group out of Crestone. Styles include rock, R&B, blues, jam, heavy metal, and outlaw country.
