MONTE VISTA — The Monte Vista Kiwanis Club is pleased to announce Renee Nicole (Nicki) Widger as the recipient of the 2020 Tony Perea Memorial Key Club Scholarship for $1500.00. Tony Perea was a long time faculty sponsor of Key Club and the scholarship was established in his honor. Key Club is the Kiwanis sponsored service club for high school students. The scholarship is available to the college/vocational school of the student’s choice. Nicki was chosen for her academic achievement, community service, membership, and active participation in Key Club activities by serving as Lt. Governor of Division 5 her junior year and serving an additional year on the Key Club District Board her senior year. The scholarship is primarily funded by the Crane Quilt Raffle held during the Crane Festival.
